Deposit — The Reservation Step
The deposit is what officially reserves your specific kitten. Before deposit, all kittens remain available to other prospective families. After deposit, your kitten is yours.
The Numbers
- Deposit amount: $2,250 (50% of $4,500 total)
- Status: Non-refundable
- Applied to: Total purchase price (dollar for dollar)
- Balance remaining: $2,250, due 2 weeks before go-home
Why the Deposit is Non-Refundable
When you place a deposit, we:
- Remove your kitten from availability to other applicants
- Decline all other inquiries for that specific kitten
- Continue weekly cattery costs (food, vet, supplies) for that kitten
- Allocate planning and communication time to your family
If a buyer changes their mind weeks or months later, we have lost that time and those other applicants. The non-refundable structure aligns commitment on both sides.
Special Circumstances — Deposit Transfer
If we cannot deliver your kitten for reasons within our control (kitten illness, kitten unfit for placement, etc.), we offer at your election:
- Transfer your deposit to another available kitten from any Royal Purebred Kittens cattery (Bengal, Maine Coon, Oriental, Scottish Fold) of equivalent value
- Transfer your deposit to a future Royal Oriental litter
- Full refund of your deposit within 30 days

Before You Sign — Review the Agreement
Always read the full Deposit Agreement before signing. Ask any questions. We walk through clauses by phone if helpful.

We send the Deposit Agreement via Dropbox Sign or DocuSign. You review on your phone or computer, initial each clause, sign at the bottom, and we counter-sign. You get a signed PDF copy for your records immediately.
After Deposit
You begin receiving weekly photo and video updates of your kitten. We answer all questions. You wait, you watch them grow, you fall in love.
